Microsoft held a virtual games showcase on Thursday, July 23 and showed off new games for the Xbox Series X.
The company had previously announced the event, saying it would not discuss hardware nor business during the showcase and that it would focus on games for the upcoming console.
Microsoft showed off games from nine of its 15 first-party studios, including five new first-party titles. In total, Microsoft showed 10 world premieres and 22 console-launch exclusives, which it called “just a peak at some of the new titles coming to Xbox Series X.”
In addition, Microsoft confirmed every game shown will be either free-to-play or a part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription. Many Xbox One games will be receiving enhanced versions on Xbox Series X as well, including Forza Horizon 4, Gears of War 5, Sea of Thieves and more.
