Microsoft’s Project Spark goes free on October 5, Conker DLC canceled
The Xbox One and PC game and level builder will no longer be free-to-play, refunds for recent purchases incoming
Microsoft has announced that its creator tool game will become completely free as of an October 5 update. The game was previously free-to-play, but DLC costs made it expensive to play for those who really wanted to dive in and go crazy with it.
Anyone who purchased DLC after July 28 will get refunds for the content, according to Microsoft. In addition, the upcoming Conker DLC has been canceled. On a positive note, the update doubles the size of terrain and prop limits, allowing for much more inclusive and expansive game worlds to be created.
Microsoft says the game has over 200,000 active players and that 300-400 games and levels are created daily, according to an article by GameSpot. Project Spark is available for Xbox One and PC.
